Introduction
         The three greatest gifts are:
  1. The gift of life.
  2. The gift of trust.
  3. The gift of mercy.
On The Gift Of Life
With what can you pay for your life? Nothing.
You have nothing to pay for your life. Nothing is sufficient.
If your life ends now, there is nothing you can do to extend or continue it.
If your hand breaks now, you cannot heal it or provide yourself with another hand.
Only God gives you life. The same God keeps you alive and maintains you with his own providence.

About the gift of life, Jesus said, “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26-27

On The Gift Of Trust
Somebody lends you money out of trust. Tomorrow, you refuse to pay, and even speaks harshly to your lender, the creditor who never expected that you will be so callous, insultive, disrespectful and unfaithful. You begin to ask your creditor, who are you? Is it because of money he lent you that he is disturbing you?

A young boy leaves his town, goes to another town, enters a family and asks for a girl’s hand in marriage. Out of trust, that you are grown up, knowledgeable and trustworthy, the parents give their daughter to you. And after some years, you kidnap the children and abandon the woman, that you are no more in the marriage. You think you are wise, without knowing that you are trying to destroy your future. All because you abuse and misuse the gift of trust.

About the gift of trust, Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” John 15:13-16

On The Gift Of Mercy
This is the final one. After mercy, nothing again shall be done for you the sinner, who is often disobedient. You are not qualified, you cannot afford something. But, it was done or given to you, out of mercy. The person who benefits from mercy supposed to show appreciation. A person in need of mercy should be merciful to himself. He supposed to be merciful to his benefactors. God is merciful to the world, but humanity do not want God’s mercy. They do not want to be merciful to themselves. They do not want to be merciful to God.

In the past, if a person became very wicked, people would say to him, God have mercy on you. Now, they have become so wicked that you have to ask them to have mercy of God, though God does not need their mercy.

Even now, they have become that so wicked that you have to tell the wicked to have mercy on himself. They shall not understand this statement of wisdom, until they find themselves bound inside the hell fire.

In all bad conditions, it is God Almighty and His Angels that come in, doing everything possible for the good of humanity. While efforts are being made for the good of humanity, for their reformation, some are busy hindering every good effort for the wellbeing of all.

About the gift of mercy, the psalmist said,
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever. “
Psalms 118:1

Also,
For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
14 For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust (ignorant).
Psalms 103:11-14

Therefore, do not betray the trust your in-laws have in you.

Conclusion
         A word is enough for the wise.
